Features, equipment and use of the Bridgehill Car Fire Blanket

The fire blanket has the dimensions 6000 x 8000 mm with a weight of 28 kg. This size is also sufficient for SUV models such as the Volvo XC90. Compared to the Lithium Fire Blanket, however, the blanket is not suitable for placing directly on battery packs. Please note that the fire blanket is not cut-resistant. Compared to the Car Fire Pro, this blanket is intended for single use only.

Storage in practical Smartbag

The blanket is supplied in a practical carrying bag for storage. If the fire blanket is stored permanently in the bag, the manufacturer provides a lifetime guarantee on the blanket.

Using the fire blanket / fire blanket for battery fires - always with 2 people

Due to its size, the blanket must always be used with 2 people. The first step is to spread the blanket on the ground in front of the burning vehicle. The blanket must then be laid over the vehicle in one continuous movement using the loops on the sides. The blanket should only be removed after 20 minutes at the earliest to prevent an immediate re-ignition. Strong hissing noises can be heard every 2-15 seconds during fires in electric vehicles / electric cars. This is the "thermal runaway", in which the fire jumps from cell to cell. The extinguishing blanket / fire blanket prevents the fire from spreading elsewhere in the vehicle. If possible, personal protective equipment should always be worn during use.
