Düperthal BATTERY line B-easy ST, type 90 Safety cabinet / battery cabinet

This safety cabinet is an innovative storage system for lithium-ion rechargeable batteries / lithium-ion batteries. This innovative and DIN-certified cabinet system was developed by Düperthal to prevent damage caused by damaged battery cells. Size, storage capacity and function of the safety storage cabinet

The easy series of the Düperthal BATTERY-Line is a pure storage system for lithium-ion rechargeable batteries / lithium-ion batteries. If you are looking for a safety storage cabinet with an integrated charging option, please refer to the station series of the Düperthal BATTERY line.

Storage capacity of the Düperthal BATTERY B-easy ST safety storage cabinet

The B-easy ST model has external dimensions of 805 x 601 x 594 mm (height x width x depth). The internal dimensions listed above refer to the available storage space (height x width x depth). The shelves are adjustable in 16 mm increments. The empty weight is 130 kg with a maximum internal cabinet volume of 0.15 m³.

30 Ah per stored cell approved with plenty of storage space

The maximum capacity of individual lithium-ion cells that can be stored in the cabinet is 30 Ah. Please note that the 30 Ah does not refer to the entire battery, as each battery consists of several cells. This value covers the majority of batteries used today and is based on experience from fire tests at the Fraunhofer Institute. The upper level may be loaded with 20 kg, the lower level with 60 kg. In this version, the safety storage cabinet has 2 storage levels. At the bottom of the cabinet there is a floor drip tray with a volume of 13.2 l, which can absorb any liquids that may escape.

Individual colors available on request

The door is made of sheet steel in the color PANTONE 389 C (yellow-green). Other colors are available on request to make the cabinets look great in your company. Adjustable feet ensure level compensation and ensure that any unevenness in the floor can be optimally leveled out.

High level of safety thanks to self-closing doors - even the exhaust air openings close automatically from the outside in the event of a fire

The door remains open in any position, but a cylinder lock with permanent locking can lock the hinged door. At a temperature of approx. 50°C in the enclosure, the thermal triggering of the automatic door closure ensures that the door closes automatically. There are two NW75 exhaust air pipes at the rear of the cabinet. At a room temperature of approx. 70°C, the exhaust air openings are closed by the safety technology.

Further equipment available

Approved pipe feed-throughs are available as an option to allow for your own installations in the enclosure. If loads are to be stored on the enclosure roof, load adapters are available for installation to ensure that the fire resistance is not impaired. Simply contact us for more information.

Certification and guidelines

There are currently no legal regulations for the storage of lithium batteries / lithium-ion batteries. However, by purchasing this storage system, you are optimally equipped for any regulations that may arise. Lithium-ion batteries are class 9 hazardous goods and these cabinet systems are tested as safety cabinets in accordance with DIN. They have been type-tested by MPA/TÜV SÜD in accordance with DIN EN 14470-1 (fire resistance of safety storage cabinets for flammable liquids). CE marks are also available.

Delivery and maintenance

The cabinets are delivered to the point of use. The customer's requirements for delivery are checked prior to delivery. Additional lifting equipment or similar may be required to set up the cabinets. In accordance with BetrSichV, TRGS 526, TRGS, 510, ArbStättV and the maintenance interval specified by the manufacturer, safety equipment must be inspected once a year by an expert (qualified person) in accordance with TRBS 2103.
