Features, equipment and use of the reusable Bridgehill EXTREME Series - MULTIPURPOSE PRO XL fire blanket

The fire blanket has the dimensions 6000 x 8000 mm with a weight of 24 kg. The size is also sufficient for SUV models such as the Volvo XC90. Compared to the Lithium Fire Blanket, however, the blanket is not suitable for placing directly on battery packs. Storage in a practical Smartbag

The blanket is supplied in a practical carrying bag for storage. If the fire blanket is stored permanently in the bag, the manufacturer provides a lifetime guarantee on the blanket.

Using the fire blanket / fire blanket - always with 2 people

Due to its size, the blanket must always be used with 2 people. The first step is to spread the blanket out on the ground in front of the burning vehicle. The blanket must then be laid over the vehicle in one continuous movement using the loops on the sides. The blanket should only be removed after 20 minutes at the earliest to prevent an immediate re-ignition. Strong hissing noises can be heard every 2-15 seconds when electric vehicles catch fire. If possible, personal protective equipment should always be worn during use. It goes without saying that the fire department should always be called for assistance in the event of a vehicle fire. The Car Fire Blanket PROFESSIONAL V4 is designed for a permanent temperature load of 1,000°C and peak temperatures of 1,600°C. The EXTREME Series - MULTIPURPOSE PRO XL is designed for a permanent temperature load of 1,500°C and peak temperatures of 2,500°C - in other words, it can withstand over 50% more temperature than the previous blanket. This is relevant in view of the fact that many cells can now be regarded as metal fires in the event of fire, where prolonged temperatures of around 1,000°C can be expected.

Dimensions Pack size:

Compared to the Car Fire Blanket PROFESSIONAL V4, the EXTREME Series - MULTIPURPOSE PRO XL is significantly smaller in terms of packing size (80x32x20 cm compared to 100x40x28 cm), which is a further advantage, especially in fire engines that are already tightly packed.

Coating:

The Car Fire Blanket PROFESSIONAL V4 had a rather "rubberized" coating that faltered easily on vehicles. The EXTREME Series - MULTIPURPOSE PRO XL has a more "silky" coating so that the material glides better on vehicles.

Use as a fire sail:

As the cover has embedded metal eyelets all around, the cover can also be used optimally / optionally as a fire sail. This also improves the possibility of attaching the cover to the ground or elsewhere.
