Battery safety storage cabinets from asecos at a glance

With the various ION-LINE models from asecos, the manufacturer offers a large selection of storage and charging cabinets for lithium-ion batteries that not only enable efficient handling during operation, but also offer a high level of safety. Depending on individual company requirements, there are pure storage cabinets (formerly ION-Store) or safety cabinets that also offer a charging option (formerly ION-Charge).

Maximum safety for battery storage with asecos cabinets

The asecos battery cabinets offer a maximum level of safety for the storage of Li-ion batteries and batteries of all kinds. With a fire resistance rating of F90 / Type90, at least 90 minutes of protection is guaranteed in the event of a fire. The battery cabinets from asecos are type-tested in accordance with DIN EN 14470-1 and meet the requirements of insurers and associations for the proper storage of Li-ion batteries.

F90 fire protection on the inside and outside

Unlike many other battery cabinets, the asecos models offer F90 fire protection to the inside and outside. This means that the surrounding area is protected for at least 90 minutes if a fire breaks out inside the safety cabinet. Similarly, the batteries stored in the cabinet are protected for at least 90 minutes if a fire breaks out in the vicinity of the safety cabinet, and the fire department should have sufficient time to take initial countermeasures in both cases.

Different safety levels

The asecos ION-LINE offers three different safety levels for the safe active and passive storage of lithium batteries:

• CORE: Comprehensive fire protection with the proven asecos evacuation and alarm forwarding concept.
• PRO: Extended protection for professional handling of lithium-ion batteries including 3-stage alarm and active fire suppression system
• ULTRA: Improved fire protection, active flue gas management and extended monitoring offer safety even in sensitive areas with the highest requirements. The ION-LINE ULTRA has been tested and certified in accordance with GS principle EK5/AK4 22-01 for the testing and certification of safety storage cabinets for the active and passive storage of lithium-ion batteries.

In addition to fire protection, the Pro models are also equipped with a range of other safety measures to minimize damage and enable countermeasures to be taken as quickly as possible in the event of problems. These include an LED function indicator for rapid detection of emergencies. These models also have a 3-stage warning and fire suppression system including smoke detector, temperature sensor, visual and audible alarm. A fire suppression unit triggers automatically in the event of a fire and is supplied ready to plug into the mains.

If, in addition to pure storage, you also want to charge the batteries, asecos offers the right answer with the ION-CORE (formerly ION-Charge) models: Depending on the model, the single or double-wing charging cabinets for batteries and accumulators are equipped with a different number of shelves or lockers on which the accumulators can be stored. In addition, a base tray is always integrated into the charging cabinet. To enable the batteries to be charged, 230V sockets are integrated per shelf / locker.
