The transportation of dangerous goods on public roads is not permitted in this box.

Size and capacity of the battery test bench container

The Lio Guard Test Bench 4500 steel test bench container has a total volume of 4491 liters. The empty mass is 807 kg. The container can carry a total of 2000 kg. The external dimensions of the Lio Guard Test Bench 4500 test bench container are 2835 x 2135 x 1242 mm and the internal dimensions are 2640 x 2000 x 800 mm (length x width x height). The size of the container opening is 2584 x 1944. Industrial trucks can also drive under the container from all sides. The containers are also stackable. 1-fold when full and 2-fold when the box is empty. There are two 50 mm diameter openings on the container to make the lithium-ion battery accessible. For transportation, the container can be secured via lashing points at the corners.

A coordinated system through the use of PyroBubbles®

Individual and expensive transport solutions can be replaced by using this economical and standardized product. The box has five safety valves that can reduce the pressure in the inner container if necessary. Before use, the container must be filled with the fire retardant PyroBubbles®. In the event of a fire, this granulate forms a closed and thermally insulating layer around the source of the fire. PyroBubbles® are not included with this version of the box. Loose filling with bulk material is recommended. Even in the event of a chain reaction (thermal runaway), the surrounding area can be reliably protected. Should this nevertheless occur, the temperature of the outer walls will remain well below 100°C. To ensure adequate protection, the container must be completely filled.

The surface of the boxes is highly porous, which means that vapors and liquids (electrolytes) are trapped. The formation of ignitable mixtures is prevented and the high heat capacity helps to cool reaction gases to near ambient temperature. In addition, the low thermal conductivity can isolate a cell fire and prevent it from spreading.
