1. Brief overview
The TYPE LIP-F 400 is a robust transport and storage container made of high-quality, hot-dip galvanised sheet steel, specially developed for the safe handling of damaged, defective or critically defective lithium-ion batteries. The packaging meets the requirements of packaging group I and is approved in accordance with ADR packaging instructions P 903 and P 911. The container has been successfully tested and is suitable for transporting lithium-ion batteries up to a maximum of 14.7 kWh (PHEV batteries). This makes it ideal for automotive applications, transport logistics, recycling companies and stationary safety areas.
2. Areas of application & conditions of use for the LIP-F 400
• Safe transport of lithium-ion batteries, especially critically defective batteries.
• Suitable for use in the automotive sector, workshops, waste disposal companies, recycling centres and for stationary quarantine storage, among other things.
• Approved for transport in accordance with ADR-P 903 (new/used batteries) and ADR-P 911 (critically defective batteries).
• Can be used without filling material as fire protection panels and a collection system are integrated.
• Installation on a level, well-ventilated surface. Protection from direct sunlight, radiant heat and rain.
• The container can be used flexibly in internal logistics processes thanks to its 4-sided drive-on design.

5. Notes on use and operation

• Use only by trained, instructed personnel.

• During transport: Screw the cover on completely; only move using safe means of transport.
• Storage: Flat and well-ventilated surface, covered if possible; protect from heat.
• Dispose of contaminated or damaged components (electrolyte, fire residues) properly.
• Repairs may only be carried out by authorised specialists or the manufacturer.
