Safety and protection features
The PROline safety cabinets have an F90 fire resistance rating. In the event of a fire, the doors and the ventilation openings on the top of the cabinet close automatically. The ventilation openings are designed for connection to an external mechanical ventilation system with a DN 75 mm connection.
The doors have a 2-point locking mechanism and lock automatically when closed. A magnetic latch ensures the doors are fully closed and sealed. For normal operation, a door hold-open mechanism is also provided to keep the doors open.
A battery-operated smoke detector provides an audible warning when smoke is detected. Network-compatible smoke detectors can be fitted as an option.
An external earthing terminal is provided to prevent electrostatic build-up. For applications requiring additional measurement equipment, a cable gland can be fitted as an option. An optional equipotential bonding of the storage levels is also provided for active storage.
Furthermore, the cabinet top has a certified load-bearing capacity for the weight of a fan, which allows for the installation of appropriate mechanical ventilation on top of the cabinet.
