The special cushions are suitable for CEMO plastic battery system fire protection boxes, which offer the ideal solution for users looking for a reliable way to transport or store lithium batteries/lithium-ion batteries with substance numbers UN3480, UN3481, UN3090 and UN3091. In addition to storing lithium batteries as a stationary safety container, the fire protection boxes are also suitable for fire-protected storage on the move (e.g. on construction sites) and for compliant public transport by road. The battery containers of the Li-SAFE series, made of durable, impact-resistant plastic, are ideal for applications such as power tools and small devices that use lithium-ion batteries.
Special cushions made of vermiculite and glass fibre fabric
The special cushions prevent unwanted movement of the batteries inside the transport and storage box by quickly and effectively filling the space. The cushions are mouldable and therefore adapt perfectly to the stored batteries. Vermiculite cushions for hazardous goods are non-flammable and temperature-resistant up to over 1000 °C. They also offer excellent cushioning and insulation properties and are completely harmless to health.

Vermiculite cushions are included with the purchase of CEMO system fire protection boxes. The 2-S version comes with 2 special cushions, while the 3-S version comes with 3.
