Product information „ECOSAFE M - Storage/charging cabinet, 1-door.“
Brief overview
The ECOSAFE M is a high-quality safety cabinet designed for the storage and, optionally, charging of lithium-ion batteries. Developed for professional use, it provides reliable protection against the risks of thermal runaway and reduces potential damage to people, buildings and operational equipment.
With a certified fire resistance rating of 90 minutes (Type 90) and fire tests conducted in accordance with standards, the cabinet offers comprehensive protection both from the inside out and from the outside in. This prevents a battery fire from spreading to the surrounding area or external fires from affecting the cabinet’s contents.
The body consists of a high-quality steel construction with a triple-walled, double-insulated design. Integrated thermal insulation panels reduce thermal bridges, whilst the external surfaces are protected by a durable epoxy coating. The internal lining, made of melamine panels, also ensures a robust, chemically resistant and easy-to-clean surface.
The robust construction, combined with a modular interior layout and optional integrated safety, alarm and charging systems, makes the ECOSAFE M a flexible and future-proof solution for modern battery storage concepts.

Fire suppression
The optionally available fire suppression system is designed to actively combat a fire in its early stages inside the cabinet.
How it works :
- Automatic activation upon reaching a critical temperature (79°C)
- Release of an extinguishing or inerting agent into the interior
- Interruption of the oxygen supply or cooling of the source of the fire
- Prevention of the fire spreading to other batteries
This system reduces the intensity of a battery fire and significantly limits consequential damage.
Alarm systems
Additional alarm modules can be integrated for the early detection and notification of hazards.
Scope of functions :
- Detection of smoke or a critical rise in temperature inside the cabinet
- Visual and audible warning signals to indicate danger immediately
- Forwarding of alarms to external systems (e.g. building management systems or fire alarm control panels)
- Increased response speed during unattended operation
When configured accordingly, the safety cabinet is equipped with :
- a visual smoke detector for early fire detection
- a visual alarm indicator (strobes)
- an audible alarm signal (alarm tone)
Connection to an external fire alarm system is via a control box with a potential-free contact. This enables a direct connection to the fire alarm control panel (FACP) to be established.
The electrical cabling is structurally integrated :
The cables are routed inside the rear wall of the cabinet and exit safely onto the top of the security cabinet. This ensures a secure, clear and installation-friendly integration into existing security systems.
Charging function / power connection (230 V)
The ECOSAFE M can be operated as a storage cabinet or as a combined storage and charging cabinet.
230 V connection :
- Standard solution
- Connection via integrated power strips (e.g. 8 sockets per level)
- Suitable for typical workshop and service applications
The electrical equipment is integrated via pre-fitted connection points and should be installed by qualified personnel.
Scope of use & application
The ECOSAFE M is suitable for professional use in :
- industrial and production facilities
- workshops and service centres
- warehousing and logistics areas
- research & development
- e-bike, tooland battery logistics
The safety cabinet is specifically designed for the safe storage of lithium-ion batteries and meets the requirements of modern fire safety concepts.
It is particularly suitable for applications where :
- batteries need to be stored in buildings
- a fire-resistant partition is required
- charging processes are to be carried out in a controlled and safe manner
Approvals & safety features
