Brief overview
The ENVAION VIO 10 Pro transport and storage box is a specially designed large-capacity container made from robust HDPE plastic for the storage, handling and transport of new and defective lithium-ion batteries. The transport box is suitable for industrial applications, workshops, hazardous goods logistics, and recycling and disposal processes.
With base dimensions of 1,200 × 800 mm, the VIO 10 Plus corresponds to the Euro pallet standard and can therefore be integrated into existing storage and logistics processes. The box is stackable up to three high and designed for handling with a forklift. A special feature is the integrated protection system comprising multi-part fabric inlays filled with AkkuGrain® material.

AkkuGrain® filling material
The AkkuGrain® filling material is a granular safety material that releases water vapour when temperatures rise sufficiently during a battery event. This process absorbs heat, which can slow the spread of heat. At the same time, the water vapour can locally displace oxygen and reduce its availability. In this way, AkkuGrain® can help reduce the risk of reignition, mitigate explosive effects and reduce the release of hazardous gases.

Applications

Thanks to its standard Euro-pallet dimensions, stackability and suitability for forklift handling, this bulk container can be integrated into existing commercial storage and logistics processes.

For transport, the batteries are positioned on the lower inlay and secured to prevent movement. The upper inlays and the fire-resistant cover are then inserted, and the lid is secured with the designated fastenings. Any remaining voids must be filled with suitable padding or filling material as required.

The VIO 10 Plus is approved for the transport of new and defective lithium-ion batteries in accordance with Packing Instructions P903, P908, P909 and P910. The following approvals and markings are specified in the manufacturer’s documentation:

Instructions for use
The boxes should be stored at temperatures between 5 and 50 °C in a well-ventilated indoor area. Direct sunlight, heat sources, flammable materials, as well as rain, hail and extreme weather conditions must be avoided.
For safe and convenient handling of the box, we recommend the use of suitable lifting equipment or a forklift truck. During transport, the container must remain closed and all fastenings must be securely locked. This ensures reliable handling and secure transport.
