Overview
The ENVAION VIO 10 Pro transport and storage box is a specially developed large-capacity container made from robust HDPE plastic for storage, handling and transport of critically defective or damaged lithium-ion batteries. The P911-certified transport box is designed for batteries with a maximum energy capacity of 9 kWh and is particularly suitable for industrial applications, workshops, hazardous goods logistics, and recycling and disposal processes.
With base dimensions of 1,200 × 800 mm, the VIO 10 Pro corresponds to the Euro pallet standard and can therefore be integrated into existing warehousing and logistics processes. The box is stackable up to three high and designed for handling by forklift truck. A key feature is the integrated protection system comprising multi-part fabric inlays with AkkuGrain® filling material and a fire-retardant cover. This combination helps to limit the effects of a thermal event within the packaging.

AkkuGrain® filling material
The AkkuGrain® used in the fire protection inlays is a granular safety material and a key component of the VIO 10 Pro’s protection concept. In the event of a battery incident, it can help to slow down the spread of heat, reduce the availability of oxygen and minimise the risk of re-ignition. Furthermore, the material can help to dampen explosive effects and reduce the release of hazardous gases.

For transport, the batteries are positioned on the lower inlay and secured to prevent movement. The upper inlays and the fire-resistant cover are then inserted, and the lid is secured with the designated fastenings. Any remaining voids must be filled with suitable cushioning or filling material as required.

The VIO 10 Pro is approved for the transport of critical defective batteries in accordance with Packaging Instruction P911. The following approvals and markings are listed in the manufacturer’s documentation provided:

The VIO 10 Pro is therefore specifically designed for transport operations in which critically defective lithium-ion batteries, cells or modules must be packed in accordance with the requirements of P911. Before any transport, the specific condition of the battery, the applicable dangerous goods regulations and, where applicable, country-specific requirements must be checked.
Instructions for use
The boxes should be stored at temperatures between 5 and 50 °C in a well-ventilated indoor area. Direct sunlight, heat sources, flammable materials, as well as rain, hail and extreme weather conditions must be avoided. A maximum of three boxes may be stacked on top of one another.
For safe and convenient handling of the box, we recommend the use of suitable lifting equipment or a forklift truck. During transport, the container must remain closed and all fastenings must be securely locked. This ensures reliable handling and secure transport.
