Overview
The S-TYPE battery fire containment blanket has been specially developed for fire containment in lithium-ion batteries and high-voltage battery systems. It serves to reduce the effects of a battery fire, contain flames and flying sparks, and limit the spread of heat to the surrounding area.
The blanket consists of a high-temperature-resistant silicate fabric with a vermiculite coating on both sides and can withstand temperatures of up to 1,200 °C over the long term. This makes it particularly suitable for use with electric vehicles, battery storage systems and individual lithium-ion batteries.
