Vermiculite is a 100% natural mineral product and is very well suited as a filling material for packaging in accordance with the Dangerous Goods Regulations. The material is non-flammable (certified non-flammability, building material class A1, DIN 4102) and temperature-resistant up to over 1000°C. Vermiculite is very well suited for transporting defective lithium-ion batteries. Its special structure prevents damage from impacts and, thanks to its absorbency of up to 5 times its own weight, leaking liquids such as electrolytes can be bound immediately.
