Product information „asecos Relay Module 4.0“
The asecos Relay Module 4.0 enhances compatible ION-LINE PRO safety cabinets by providing a differentiated evaluation of warning and alarm conditions. Whilst the cabinets are designed as standard to output only a collective alarm via the dry contact, the relay module enables this to be divided into four separate alarm levels.
The individual alarm statuses can be transmitted via dry contacts to a building management system or other external systems. In combination with the asecos Telecommunications Module 4.0, the differentiated warning and alarm messages can also be forwarded via text message or phone call to designated contacts. The relay module handles the alarm differentiation, whilst the Telecommunications Module 4.0 ensures external alarm transmission.
Differentiated alarm transmission
The Relay Module 4.0 provides the following four separate alarm states: :
-
Warning message when the internal cabinet temperature exceeds 50 °C
-
Alarm level 1 when smoke begins to develop
-
Alarm level 2 when smoke is detected and the internal cabinet temperature exceeds 70 °C
-
Power failure
The individual alerts are output via potential-free switching contacts (optionally normally open or normally closed) and enable a targeted response appropriate to the situation.
Flexible integration
All asecos ION-LINE safety cabinets are fitted as standard with a potential-free collective alarm for connection to a permanently manned control centre or building management system. The Relay Module 4.0 replaces this collective alarm with a differentiated alarm transmission system featuring four separate signals.
The module can be installed at the factory or retrofitted to existing cabinets by the asecos service team. The scope of delivery includes a connector for the customer to wire up an alarm condition.
Note :
The Relay Module 4.0 is used exclusively for differentiating and outputting alarm conditions via potential-free contacts. If the alarm message is also to be forwarded via mobile communications (SMS and/or phone call) to defined recipients, the asecos Telecommunications Module 4.0 is required.
The dry contacts are intended for connection to a building management system. Direct connection to a fire alarm control panel (FACP) should only be carried out in consultation with the person responsible for the system.
