1. Overview

The ecell-guard Carport System including the BASIC System is a mobile, modular fire protection and quarantine solution for high-voltage and electric vehicles with lithium-ion batteries. It combines a robust, weather-resistant carport structure with the automated ecell-guard BASIC fire protection system and is particularly suitable for technical quarantine areas, workshops, service centres, vehicle logistics facilities as well as industrial and commercial sites.

The integrated safety concept enables the early detection of critical temperature developments and the automatic deployment of the fire containment blanket. In the event of an incident, the blanket is automatically pulled over the vehicle to help contain a potential battery fire and reduce thermal exposure to adjacent areas.

6. Protection System

The ecell-guard BASIC System, included as part of the complete product, works together with the carport structure to provide the active fire protection solution. Sensors, control system, deployment mechanism and fire containment blanket are coordinated as an integrated system.

When a critical condition is detected, an alarm is triggered. The system then automatically activates the deployment mechanism and pulls the fire containment blanket over the vehicle. The blanket encloses the relevant area of the vehicle and helps limit the spread of flames and heat to the surrounding environment.

The complete system therefore combines the quarantine and monitoring of high-voltage vehicles with automated fire containment.
