Product information „CEMO 8/10 Premium LockEX 2.0 storage cabinet with stacking feet / 230 V“
Brief overview
The CEMO 8/10 Premium LockEX 2.0 charging cabinet with stacking feet is a fire- and explosion-resistant safety cabinet designed for the stationary storage and charging of lithium-ion batteries indoors. With four storage levels and a total of 18 slots, the larger 8/10 model offers sufficient space for the separate storage and charging of multiple batteries.
The design combines fire-propagation-preventing storage levels with mechanical ventilation, acoustic fire detection and the LockEX 2.0 pressure relief system. The Premium version also features an electrically powered smoke detector and a potential-free contact for integration into an existing safety infrastructure. The charging cabinet is fitted with a 230 V power supply and stacking feet.
The 230 V models have a maximum electrical power rating of 3,500 W / 16 A. The version with stacking feet is wheelchair-accessible and can be stacked up to two high.

Safety and protection features
The mains-powered smoke detector emits an audible alarm when smoke is detected. In addition, the Premium version features a temperature safety switch.
The integrated potential-free contact provides the option to connect to an external safety or fire alarm system. According to the product data sheets, the Premium version does not feature an integrated alarm relay function.
The LockEX 2.0 pressure relief system is a standard feature of all four Premium versions. The fire-retardant storage compartments are designed to limit the spread of a fire between individual battery modules.
In addition, the charging cabinet is fitted with a mechanical ventilation system and a door contact switch. This combines the electrical components required for charging with the cabinet’s structural protective measures.

FAQ
Standard security cabinets are designed for indoor use, so they cannot be used outdoors.
The fire protection panels installed in the cabinets contain gypsum, which contains a lot of water, which expands when frozen. This deforms the panels. It can no longer be guaranteed that such a cabinet is still sealed or can withstand an explosion.
If you already have a suitable room that is structurally fire-resistant, then you do not necessarily need a safety cabinet to contain the fire.
However, please do not forget that the damage caused by a battery fire involves immense and also toxic contamination, the disposal of which can quickly lead to high costs.
In addition, you may not be able to continue working as usual until the damage has been finally repaired - depending on the location of the damage.
