Brief overview
The CEMO 8/20 LockEX 2.0 charging cabinets are safety cabinets designed for the stationary storage and charging of lithium-ion batteries indoors. With eight storage levels, six shelves and a total of 36 slots, the large 8/20 model offers sufficient capacity for the separate storage and simultaneous charging of a large number of batteries. The division into two sections, each of which can be opened independently, facilitates a structured use of the cabinet’s interior.
The fire- and explosion-resistant design combines passive fire protection measures with mechanical ventilation, fire detection and the LockEX 2.0 pressure relief system. Depending on the required level of safety and monitoring, the Basic and Premium versions are available. Both variants feature four 9-way power strips with a total of 36 sockets and are available with either a 230 V or 400 V power supply.

The Basic version provides the standard equipment for storage and charging and features a battery-powered smoke detector and a temperature cut-out. The Premium version supplements the system in particular with a mains-powered smoke detector and a potential-free contact for integration into an existing safety infrastructure.
Both versions are available in 230 V or 400 V. The 230 V version is connected via a Schuko plug, whilst the 400 V version features a CEE 16 A connection.

Safety and protection features
The integrated fire detection system provides an audible warning should smoke be detected. Whilst the Basic version is fitted with a battery-powered smoke detector, the Premium version features a mains-powered smoke detector. In both variants, temperature monitoring is carried out via a thermal fuse.
The LockEX 2.0 pressure relief system is a standard feature of both versions and serves to relieve pressure should it rise inside the cabinet. The fire-retardant partition levels are designed to limit the spread of a fire between individual battery modules.
The division of the cabinet into two sections that can be opened independently of one another allows for physical separation within the cabinet. In addition, the charging cabinets are fitted with mechanical ventilation and a door contact switch.
The premium version also offers, via the potential-free contact, the option of connecting to a central fire alarm system or existing safety infrastructure. According to the current product data sheets, an independent alarm relay function is not integrated.
