Brief overview

The CEMO FMplus battery safety cabinets have been developed for the stationary indoor storage of lithium-ion batteries. The double-walled steel construction, which provides thermal insulation, along with additional door seals and an integrated smoke detector, ensures the safe storage of batteries and provides an early audible warning in the event of smoke detection. A ventilation opening also allows connection to an exhaust duct leading to the outside.

The series is available in sizes US, S and L, allowing it to be adapted to different space and capacity requirements. The compact FMplus US model is also available with an integrated 230 V charging unit featuring two sockets. This allows users to choose between a storage-only solution and a variant for both storing and charging smaller lithium-ion batteries.

Safety and protection features

The FMplus series features a double-walled steel construction with thermal insulation properties. Additional door seals ensure the enclosure is cold-smoke-tight. The lockable door is fitted with a 3-point locking mechanism.

An integrated battery-operated smoke detector in all models triggers an audible alarm when smoke is detected. A ventilation opening allows connection to an exhaust pipe, through which any gases produced can be vented to the outside.

The cabinets are fitted with feet as standard and are wheelchair-accessible. This means that, for example, in the event of an emergency, they can be positioned using suitable equipment or removed from a hazardous area.

The FMplus US with charging unit also features an automatic power cut-off in the event of a fire. A door contact switch cuts off the charging current when the door is opened. A thermal fuse is also integrated.

Notes on use

All variants are intended for indoor installation. An exhaust pipe can be connected to the outside via the existing ventilation opening using a suitable adapter. The standard feet allow access underneath the cabinet.
