Brief overview
The ECOSAFE S is a high-quality safety cabinet for the storage and optional charging of lithium-ion batteries. Developed for professional use, it reliably protects against the risks of thermal runaway and reduces potential damage to people, buildings, and operational equipment.
With a tested fire resistance of 90 minutes (Type 90) as well as standard-compliant fire tests, the cabinet offers comprehensive protection both from the inside out and from the outside in. This prevents a battery fire from spreading to the surroundings or external fires from affecting the cabinet contents.
The body consists of a high-quality steel construction with a triple wall insulated twice against heat. Integrated thermal insulation panels reduce thermal bridges, while the outer surfaces are protected by a durable epoxy coating. The interior lining with melamine panels additionally provides a robust, chemically resistant, and easy-to-clean surface.
The robust construction, combined with modular interior equipment as well as optionally integrable safety, alarm, and charging systems, makes the ECOSAFE S a flexible and future-proof solution for modern battery storage concepts.

This allows the ECOSAFE S to be configured flexibly – from a pure storage solution to a fully equipped charging cabinet with extended safety functions.
Optional fire suppression
The optionally available fire suppression system is used for the active combating of an incipient fire inside the cabinet.
How it works:
- Automatic activation in the event of critical temperature development (79° C)
- Release of an extinguishing and/or inerting agent into the interior
- Interruption of the oxygen supply and/or cooling of the seat of the fire
- Prevention of fire spreading to additional batteries
This system reduces the intensity of a battery fire and significantly limits consequential damage.
Optional alarm systems
Additional alarm modules can be integrated for the early detection and transmission of hazards.
Functional scope:
- Detection of smoke or critical temperature increase inside the cabinet
- Visual and audible warning signals for direct hazard indication
- Transmission of alarms to external systems (e.g. building management system or fire alarm control panel)
- Increased reaction speed during unattended operation
In the corresponding configuration, the safety cabinet is equipped with:
- an optical smoke detector for early fire detection
- a visual alarm indicator (flashing light)
- an audible alarm signal (alarm tone)
Connection to an external fire alarm infrastructure is made via a control box with a potential-free contact. This allows a direct connection to the fire alarm control panel (FACP).
The electrical cable routing is structurally integrated:
The cables are routed within the rear wall of the cabinet and exit in a protected manner on the roof of the safety cabinet. This ensures safe, clear, and installation-friendly integration into existing safety systems.
Optional charging function / power connection (230 V)
The ECOSAFE S can be operated as a storage cabinet or a combined storage and charging cabinet.

ECOSAFE Connection Kit KRC: Connection kit for attaching a ventilation box. The set includes a flexible hose with a diameter of 100 mm, a steel coupling with a diameter of 100 mm, two hose clamps with a diameter of 100 mm, and four fastening screws.
Ventilation box for Ecosafe safety cabinets. The box ensures air exchange in the safety cabinet, preventing overheating. Please note that the air inlet and outlet openings close in the event of a fire, preventing the extraction of smoke gases. The ventilation box is recommended if the lithium-ion batteries tend to generate excessive heat during charging. The connection kit must be ordered separately for installation.
ECOSAFE SED: The WiFi data logger system is used for reliable monitoring of temperature values in storage and charging cabinets of the Ecosafe product. Installation is simple via a web browser. The WiFi data logger records temperature values at freely adjustable intervals and transmits them directly via a WLAN network to the cloud.The recorded data can be accessed at any time from anywhere via tablet, smartphone, or PC with Internet access. If defined limit values are exceeded, an alert is immediately sent by e-mail or optionally by SMS as a push notification. This keeps safety-relevant processes under control even in the absence. ECOSAFE SERCODE: Code lock for locking the doors with a 4-digit code. The locking is achieved via a 2-point fixation. The power supply is provided by two AA batteries included in the package, designed for a lifespan of approximately 80,000 locking cycles. The battery charge level can be displayed via an integrated LED.
