The innovative multifunctional extinguishing agent additive F-500 EA has special properties that enable it to extinguish fires in fire classes A, B and parts of fire classes D and F, and is currently the most effective extinguishing agent for lithium-ion battery fires.
F-500 EA extinguishing agent additive – proven firefighting
F-500 EA is an innovative, environmentally friendly and forward-looking multifunctional extinguishing agent. It has been tested and approved and has no hazardous properties according to the Chemicals Act. Thanks to its combined extinguishing properties, it is extremely effective as an active extinguishing agent additive and is ideal for fighting fires involving solid organic combustible materials, polar and non-polar combustible liquids, combustible light metals, burning fats and burning and reacting lithium-ion batteries.
F-500 EA as a multifunctional extinguishing agent additive to water is successfully suitable for 98% of all fires and also has a shelf life of 15 years when stored under the recommended conditions.
F-500 EA is already being used for firefighting by companies such as RWE, BMW, Tesla, Liebherr, Stihl, Bosch and many others.
Special advantages of the F-500 EA fire extinguishing additive
The liquid mixture of various surfactants encapsulates liquid fuel particles, which leads to emulsion formation and thus restricts the vapour development from the flammable liquid to such an extent that no flash point can be measured. In addition, it has a greater cooling effect than other additives to water, as the evaporation of the mixture of water and F-500 EA begins at 70 degrees Celsius. Due to its high interfacial activity, it penetrates deeply into fibrous, granular and dust-like materials, even those with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties. F-500 EA reduces the surface tension of water and improves wettability, and has a preventive effect that protects against rapid ignition.
