The perfect storage location with integrated charging option for batteries
Battery-powered devices have become an indispensable part of everyday professional and operational life. From electrical appliances and power tools with batteries that every tradesperson carries with them, to hand-held scanners in order picking and logistics, to navigation devices, smartphones, etc., which are now also part of the basic equipment of many professions – Li-ion batteries and rechargeable batteries are becoming increasingly prevalent in everyday business life. In addition to orderly storage when not in use, charging has become increasingly important, because the devices can only be used optimally when the battery is fully charged, making combined storage and charging solutions indispensable for businesses. Battery charging cabinets combine precisely these two functions: they enable the storage and simultaneous charging of batteries.
18 x 230V sockets offer numerous connection options for battery chargers
The battery cabinet presented here has a total of 18 full-size 230V Schuko sockets, allowing even powerful Li-ion batteries to be charged in parallel. The chargers can be distributed across several levels. The three separate socket strips can be switched individually and a ventilation system ensures sufficient cooling inside the charging cabinet even when fully occupied.
Checking the charge level through practical acrylic windows
Two acrylic windows are built into both doors of the battery charging cabinet. This makes it easy to check the charge status of the Li-ion batteries inside without having to open the doors. A quick glance is all it takes to see whether the batteries are fully charged and ready for their next use.
Lockable cabinet doors prevent unauthorised access
The lockable doors of the charging cabinet prevent unauthorised access to the batteries and the devices stored inside. Its weight of 120 kg is further evidence of its robust design.
Size, features and function of the battery charging cabinet
This battery charging cabinet has external dimensions of 2000 x 1000 x 490 mm (height x width x depth). It weighs 120 kg. The cabinet has two lockable hinged doors with ventilation holes at the top and bottom, including acrylic glass viewing windows.
Sufficient storage space for numerous Li-ion batteries and battery-powered devices
Four galvanised, height-adjustable shelves with a load capacity of approx. 80 kg are available for storing batteries or battery-powered devices. The charging cabinet also has a bottom-mounted drawer with a height of 125 mm (Fh) and single pull-out (EA). The drawer has a load capacity of 40 kg with an evenly distributed load, so that even heavy lithium batteries and rechargeable batteries can be stored here without any problems.
Safe charging option for all your battery-powered devices
The charging cabinet has three power strips, each with 6 safety sockets and switches. In addition, a small distribution box with 3 circuit breakers and a fan is installed inside, so that the batteries can be stored and charged very flexibly on the different levels. External power is supplied via an attachment socket for a 390 V plug.
Customisable and available in other colours
The frame and body of the battery charging cabinet come in light grey – RAL 7035 – and the front in gentian blue – RAL 5010 – as standard. Other colours are available on request if you would like to customise your battery cabinet. Please feel free to contact us.
VDS recommendation for the storage of Li-ion batteries
There are currently no legal regulations for the storage of lithium batteries/lithium-ion batteries. Only VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH provides general safety rules for damage prevention in its publication VdS 3103 : 2019-06 (03). It is advisable to clarify your requirements with your property insurance company in advance.

FAQ
Standard security cabinets are designed for indoor use, so they cannot be used outdoors.
The fire protection panels installed in the cabinets contain gypsum, which contains a lot of water, which expands when frozen. This deforms the panels. It can no longer be guaranteed that such a cabinet is still sealed or can withstand an explosion.
If you already have a suitable room that is structurally fire-resistant, then you do not necessarily need a safety cabinet to contain the fire.
However, please do not forget that the damage caused by a battery fire involves immense and also toxic contamination, the disposal of which can quickly lead to high costs.
In addition, you may not be able to continue working as usual until the damage has been finally repaired - depending on the location of the damage.
