Product information „Genius Lio Guard Storage Box 520 Storage Box“
The Lio Guard Storage Box 520 storage container made of galvanised steel presented here is the ideal solution for users looking for a reliable way to safely store lithium batteries/lithium-ion batteries that comply with UN3090, UN3091, UN3480 and UN3481 regulations. This system was developed in cooperation with a leading manufacturer of metal boxes in Europe. In addition to storing intact lithium batteries, the Lio Guard Storage Box 520 storage container is particularly suitable for damaged cells, which pose a significant hazard to the environment.
Size and capacity of the battery storage container
The Storage Box 520 storage container is a lockable steel container with an insert for the safe storage of lithium batteries / lithium-ion batteries. The container has a total volume of 520 litres. The maximum permissible total weight is 1 001 kg, the empty weight is 601 kg. The insert is not removable and also ensures that the cells are effectively kept away from the outer walls of the container.
The Lio Guard Storage Box 520 storage container has external dimensions of 1680 x 1480 x 882 mm and internal dimensions of 1247 x 1047 x 400 mm (length x width x height). The maximum recommended dimensions for hazardous goods are 1227 x 1027 x 380 mm. This area of the inner container can be used for storing lithium-ion batteries. The box can be accessed from all sides with industrial trucks and has a ground clearance of 120 mm. The lid has a lid support, which makes loading easier.
A coordinated system through the use of PyroBubbles ®
Individual and expensive storage solutions can be replaced by using this economical and standardised product. The boxes are permanently reusable. The box is filled with approx. 160 kg of the fire protection agent PyroBubbles ® between the inner wall and the insert, which can form a closed and thermally insulating layer around a source of fire. The lid of the box contains 37 large PE filling cushions with PyroBubbles ® weighing 2.1 kg (7.8 litres) each. These cushions are surrounded by thin, needle-punched polyethylene (PE) film, which dissolves in the event of a fire, releasing the extinguishing agent. This provides optimum protection for the environment against damaged lithium batteries/lithium-ion batteries. Even in the event of a chain reaction (thermal runaway), the environment is reliably protected.

There are currently no legal regulations governing the storage of lithium batteries/lithium-ion batteries. However, by purchasing this storage system, you will be optimally equipped for any regulations that may arise in the future.
