Genius

The Genius Group is one of the leading manufacturers of solutions for the safe transportation of intact and damaged lithium-ion rechargeable batteries / lithium batteries. Lio Guard transport container / quarantine container for lithium-ion batteries
A core product from the Genius product range is the Lio Guard container series. The different versions of the Lio Guard transport containers have become the favorites of many companies when it comes to transporting intact or defective/damaged lithium-ion batteries with maximum safety and in accordance with regulations.

The selection of Genius Lio Guard transport containers is extremely wide, so that a suitable battery box can be found for every need and every transport item. Whether as a metal transport container, plastic variant, for packaging group 1 or packaging group 2 - Genius offers a suitable container for almost every application requirement to safely transport or store defective, unsafe to transport, but also naturally intact Li-ion batteries.
Certified in accordance with ADR special regulations and compliant with UN specifications
Another advantage of Lio Guard battery containers is their extensive range of certifications and applications. Depending on the design, the containers comply with the special ADR regulations SV 310, SV 376 and SV 377, which are so important when transporting intact and damaged batteries. The Lio Guard containers from Genius also meet the various UN requirements and other international guidelines, making them the perfect solution for internationally networked freight transport.
PyroBubbles® from Genius - unique extinguishing agent for fighting battery fires
With the so-called PyroBubbles®, Genius has developed a completely new type of extinguishing agent based on silicon dioxide, which is specially designed for the challenges of burning lithium batteries and lithium-ion batteries, as other extinguishing agents such as water, foam, powder or CO2 quickly reach their limits in the event of defective battery cells and the resulting fires.
For acute firefighting of lithium-ion battery fires
The Genius PyroBubbles® extinguishing granules are used in a variety of situations. On the one hand, the PyroBubbles® are used when conventional extinguishing agents such as water are no longer effective or can cause major damage when extinguishing battery fires.
Genius PyroBubbles® as a filler in battery transport containers such as the Lio Guard models
In addition to acute firefighting, Genius PyroBubbles® are also used as a filler in Lio Guard transport containers for lithium batteries and lithium-ion batteries. With PyroBubbles® from Genius as a filler, both intact and defective batteries that are unsafe to transport are protected during transportation against impact and thus mechanical damage, which is often the cause of battery defects.
PyroBubbles directly combat the battery edge®
Much more important, however, is the function of the PyroBubbles® if there are problems with the batteries, for example if they ignite or even explode. The Genius PyroBubbles® then act as an extinguishing agent and the battery fire is fought directly inside the transport container so that it does not endanger the surrounding area. The PyroBubbles® are used as standard in Lio Guard transport containers, for example, but can of course also be used in battery transport containers from other series or manufacturers. Many regulations for the transportation of lithium batteries stipulate the use of appropriate extinguishing agents such as PyroBubbles® or the transport and storage containers only comply with the ADR regulations in combination with the use of PyroBubbles®.
