Lio Guard transport containers / quarantine containers for lithium-ion batteries A core product from the Genius product range is the Lio Guard container series. The various versions of the Lio Guard transport containers have become favorites for many companies when it comes to transporting intact or defective / damaged lithium-ion batteries with the highest safety and in accordance with the regulations. Genius PyroBubbles® – a unique extinguishing agent for the firefighting of battery fires With the so-called PyroBubbles®, the company Genius has developed a completely novel extinguishing agent based on silicon dioxide, specifically designed for the challenges of burning lithium batteries and lithium-ion batteries, because other extinguishing agents such as water, foam, powder or CO2 reach their limits quickly with defective battery cells and the resulting fires. For acute firefighting of lithium-ion battery fires The Genius PyroBubbles® extinguishing granulate is used in a variety of situations. On the one hand, PyroBubbles® are used when common extinguishing agents such as water no longer have an effect or can cause great damage when extinguishing battery fires. Genius PyroBubbles® as a filler in battery transport containers such as the Lio Guard models In addition to active firefighting, Genius PyroBubbles® are also used as a filler in Lio Guard transport containers for lithium batteries and lithium-ion batteries. With PyroBubbles® from Genius as a filler, both intact but also defective and transport-unsafe batteries are protected from impacts and thus mechanical damage during transport, which are often the origin of battery defects. Direct fighting of battery fires by PyroBubbles® Even more important is the function of PyroBubbles® when problems with the batteries occur, such as ignition or even explosion. Then the Genius PyroBubbles® function as an extinguishing agent and the battery fire is fought directly inside the transport container, so that it does not endanger the surrounding area. By default, PyroBubbles® are used, for example, in Lio Guard transport containers, but can of course also be used in battery transport containers of other series or manufacturers. Many regulations on the transport of lithium batteries require the use of appropriate extinguishing agents such as PyroBubbles®, or accordingly transport and storage containers only in combination with the use of PyroBubbles® in accordance with ADR regulations.
