Size, structure and function of the battery safety cabinet

The sturdy, high-quality and scratch-resistant outer body of the asecos safety storage cabinet is equipped with a powder-coated textured surface and a triple door suspension. The entire locking mechanism and safety elements are mounted outside the storage room to protect them from corrosion.

Functions

The asecos loading cabinet contains 7 metal lockers (6x height=approx.170mm, 1x height=approx.360mm), as well as a floor drip tray. Each locker contains at least 1 socket (230 V) and has its own pair of keys. A master key is also included in the scope of delivery, with which all of the 7 lockers can be opened. A sticker set and 2 key marker sets (numbered 1-7) are included. The lockers have a load capacity of 25 kg. The drip tray has a volume of 1 liter.

The door can be locked with a profile cylinder (locking system compatible), a locking status indicator (red/green) shows the status. The drawer is self-closing in the event of a fire. The integrated transport base is used for easy transportation within the company.

Simple assembly of the safety storage cabinet

Setting up the safety storage cabinet is made easier by the integrated adjustable feet to compensate for uneven floors. A rotating wheel in the exhaust air grille serves as an indicator for sufficient technical ventilation. In addition, the integrated ventilation system can be used to connect (NW 75) to a technical exhaust air system.

Dimensions

The interior dimensions of the safety storage cabinet are 450 x 522 x 1647 mm (W x D x H), whereby the usable interior dimensions may vary depending on the interior fittings. The external dimensions are 599 x 615 x 1953 mm (W x D x H). The empty weight of the battery safety storage cabinet is around 314 kg, the maximum load is 600 kg.

There are 7 shelves with a load capacity of 25 kg each. The door is made of sheet steel and painted in RAL 5010 gentian blue. In addition, a floor drip tray made of powder-coated sheet steel is always included.

The CORE CHARGE safety storage cabinet from asecos offers both 90 minutes of fire protection from the outside to the inside (type 90 / type-tested in accordance with EN 14470-1) and over 90 minutes of fire resistance when exposed to fire from the inside to the outside.

The asecos security concept

In order to offer the greatest possible protection and to comply with the safety concept, it is necessary to position the asecos ION-Line lockers at ground level in one place to enable rapid evacuation of the safety storage cabinet from the building in the event of damage.

The cabinet has a potential-free contact for connection to a permanently manned control center. Alternatively, a telecommunication module (accessory) is available to alert the person responsible for the system. Please note that for 24/7 protection, the alarm signal must be forwarded so that action can be taken as quickly as possible.

Regulations and legislation must also be observed. If components of the safety storage cabinets are damaged, they must be repaired immediately by an asecos employee.

Notes on warranty and maintenance

The warranty period for ION-Line safety storage cabinets from asecos is 24 months. According to ArbStättV, safety equipment (such as safety storage cabinets according to EN 14470-1) must be serviced regularly. According to TRGS 526 7.4, the maintenance interval for EN 14470-1 safety storage cabinets should not be longer than one year.

The manufacturer grants a 24-month warranty on ION-Line cabinets. In order to maintain this warranty, the first prescribed maintenance by the manufacturer's customer service is mandatory after 12 months.

The maintenance agreement is concluded directly with the customer service department and the end customer. After placing the order, you will receive a service request form from us in which you can provide us with your contact details for concluding the maintenance contract.

General guidelines for battery storage

There are currently no legal regulations for the storage of lithium batteries / lithium-ion batteries. Only VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH issues general safety rules for damage prevention in its publication VdS 3103 : 2019-06 (03). It is advisable to clarify your requirements with your property insurance company in advance.
