1. Brief overview
The Genius Lio Guard XXL-Box B is a galvanised steel container for the safe transport and temporary storage of damaged, defective and critically defective lithium-ion batteries. It has been specially developed for professional use in industry, workshops, logistics and recycling facilities, and meets the requirements for the transport of batteries in a wide variety of conditions in accordance with the applicable dangerous goods regulations.
The transport box features a robust galvanised steel construction with a material thickness of 3.0 mm on the side walls and 2.5 mm on the base and lid. When used in combination with the supplied PyroBubbles® Premium filling and extinguishing material, batteries are securely held in place, thermally isolated from one another, and the effects of a potential thermal runaway are effectively limited. Four integrated safety valves enable controlled pressure equalisation within the container in the event of an incident.
With an internal volume of 2,890 litres, the XXL Box B is particularly suitable for large high-voltage batteries, battery systems, battery modules and stationary energy storage units. The box is accessible from all sides by industrial trucks, lockable and designed as a reusable container for long-term use.
