Size and capacity of the storage and transport container
The foldable GENIUS FLEX-BOX 2900 storage and transport box has a volume of 2900 liters and can carry a load of up to 1200 kg. The empty weight is 300 kg.
The FLEX-BOX 2900 has external dimensions of 2800 × 1800 × 827 mm. The internal dimensions are 2700 × 1700 × 630 mm (L × W × H) for the Basic variant, while they are 2660 × 1660 × 590 mm for the Advanced and Premium variants. The container is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

Certification and guidelines
Lithium batteries fall into danger goods class 9, which means that their transport poses a significant risk to the environment. Therefore, when transporting lithium batteries, numerous requirements and guidelines must be observed.
Certified for Packaging Group II
The containers of the FLEX-BOX series meet the requirements of Packaging Group II, meaning substances with moderate hazard potential may be transported in them. To achieve this classification, drop tests from 1.2 m must be passed.
Differing properties and filling materials
Height of the folded box
The Variant "Basic" impresses with a folded height of 282 mm, enabling compact and space-saving storage. The "Advanced" and "Premium" variants impress with a folded height of 330 mm.
E-glass fiber mats and PyroBubbles provide additional protection
The Advanced variant protects the contents with E-glass fiber mats against shocks and vibrations. This filling material is non-combustible and non-conductive. For the highest safety requirements, the "Premium" variant is available.
Filling material and safety features
In the "Basic" variant, no additional filling material is required. This option is ideal for transporting undamaged and non-defective batteries, according to packaging instruction P 903 which does not require special fillers. For increased safety we recommend the "Advanced" variant, which is equipped with E-glass fiber mats. With the Advanced variant, damaged and defective batteries, prototypes and batteries for disposal or recycling can also be stored or transported. For maximum safety and protection we recommend the "Premium" variant. This uses E-glass fiber mats in combination with 20 included PyroBubbles cushions. The box is filled with the fire-extinguishing agent PyroBubbles®, which forms a closed and thermally insulating layer around the fire source. The PyroBubbles provide an additional fire protection function and contribute to safety, especially when storing or transporting lithium batteries or lithium-ion cells.
ADR special regulations
The "Basic" variant contains no specific ADR special regulations. The "Advanced" and "Premium" variants, however, comply with ADR special regulations SV 376, SV 310. Transportation under SV636 is also possible. These regulations are designed to optimize handling and transport of lithium batteries and ensure safety throughout the transport chain, especially with regard to recycling and disposal.
