Size, structure and function of the battery safety cabinet

The sturdy, high-quality and scratch-resistant outer body of the asecos safety storage cabinet is equipped with a powder-coated textured surface and a triple door suspension. The entire locking mechanism and safety elements are mounted outside the storage room to protect them from corrosion.

With 3-stage warning and fire suppression system

To ensure safe storage and loading, the PRO CHARGE model in the asecos ION-Line has a pre-installed 3-stage warning and fire suppression system. This includes a smoke detector, temperature sensor, visual and audible alarms and a fire suppression unit. Using the optional relay module (accessory), the various alarm levels can be differentiated for the control center. Please contact us for more information.

A factory-installed fan ensures sufficient ventilation and cooling during the loading process.

Dimensions

The interior dimensions of the safety storage cabinet are 1050 mm x 522 mm x 1647 mm (W x D x H), although the usable interior dimensions may vary depending on the interior fittings. The external dimensions are 1193 mm x 615 mm x 2224 mm (W x D x H). The safety storage cabinet has 2 doors with an opening angle of approx. 89.50°. The empty weight of the battery safety storage cabinet is around 424 kg, the maximum load is 600 kg.

In the interior

Depending on the version, there are 3/4/5/6 perforated shelves inside as storage levels, each with a load capacity of 75 kg. These are made of powder-coated sheet steel in RAL 7035 light grey. In addition, a floor drip tray with a volume of 2.6 l, also made of powder-coated sheet steel in RAL 7035 light grey, is always included.

Integrated pressure relief flap for pressure reduction

An integrated pressure relief flap enables controlled pressure release in the event of a fire. If the pressure becomes too high, the pressure relief flap opens.

Robust self-closing doors. Opening with one-hand operation

The doors of the safety storage cabinet can be opened with minimal effort thanks to the smooth-running doors. In addition, permanent self-closing is ensured by means of oil-damped door closers. The doors can be locked with a profile cylinder (locking system compatible) and locking status indicator (red/green).

Double fire resistance

The PRO CHARGE safety storage cabinet from asecos offers both 90 minutes of fire protection from the outside to the inside (type 90 / type-tested in accordance with EN 14470-1) and over 90 minutes of fire resistance when exposed to fire from the inside to the outside.

The asecos security concept

In order to offer the greatest possible protection and to comply with the safety concept, it is necessary to position the asecos ION-Line lockers at ground level in one place to enable rapid evacuation of the safety storage cabinet from the building in the event of damage.

The cabinet has a potential-free contact for connection to a permanently manned control center. The alarm levels of the cabinet can be differentiated for the control center using the relay module (accessory). Alternatively, a telecommunication module (accessory) is available to alert the person responsible for the system. Please note that for 24/7 protection, the alarm signal must be forwarded so that action can be taken as quickly as possible.

Regulations and legislation must also be observed. If components of the safety storage cabinets are damaged, they must be repaired immediately by an asecos employee.

Notes on warranty and maintenance

The warranty period for ION-Line safety storage cabinets from asecos is 24 months. According to ArbStättV, safety equipment (such as safety storage cabinets according to EN 14470-1) must be serviced regularly. According to TRGS 526 7.4, the maintenance interval for EN 14470-1 safety storage cabinets should not be longer than one year.

The manufacturer grants a 24-month warranty on ION-Line cabinets. In order to maintain this warranty, the first prescribed maintenance by the manufacturer's customer service is mandatory after 12 months.

The maintenance agreement is concluded directly between the customer service department and the end customer. After placing the order, you will receive a service request form from us in which you can provide us with your contact details for concluding the maintenance contract.

General guidelines for battery storage

There are currently no legal regulations for the storage of lithium batteries / lithium-ion batteries. Only VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH issues general safety rules for damage prevention in its publication VdS 3103 : 2019-06 (03). It is advisable to clarify your requirements with your property insurance company in advance.
