The storage and charging cabinet is designed for indoor use to safely store and charge lithium-ion batteries, focusing mainly on batteries for bicycles, scooters, hand tools and similar applications. The LOXK2000 has been redesigned, and thanks to a reinforced frame, the new cabinets are more robust and durable than ever before. The concept and overall functionality remain unchanged, and with aesthetics in mind, the finish of the cabinet has also been further refined.
Dimensions and features of the LOXK2000 ADVANCED PRO KIWA CERTIFIED loading cabinet.
The LOXK2000 Advanced Pro loading cabinet weighs approx. 410 kg and has external dimensions of 1930 x 1141 x 758 mm and internal dimensions of 1590 x 1021 x 607 mm. The adapted design means that the cabinets can also be moved through standard doors. This simplifies delivery and, in the event of an incident, the cabinet can be quickly moved outside the hazardous area. The power supply is 380 V. The cabinet should be installed indoors in normal conditions. The cabinet has 4 shelves inside. A socket strip with 8 sockets is fitted in each shelf.
Technical features of the charging cabinet: Fire-retardant materials so that there is enough time to take further measures
The cabinet is made of materials with a fire resistance rating of 90 minutes, which means that it protects the batteries and other items stored in the cabinet for a considerable period of time in the event of a fire. A pressure relief valve reduces the pressure in the cabinet in the event of an explosion and lowers the internal pressure to a normal level.
A comprehensive detection system is available ex works
The cabinet has a smoke detector as well as a visual and audible alarm system that triggers in the event of a fire. Remote notifications are also possible via an online portal.
Aerosol fire suppression system provides additional safety
In the event of a fire, the loading cabinet has an aerosol suppression system that helps to fight the fire and prevent it from spreading.
Rapid detection of the fire and triggering of the aerosol fire suppression system
The LOXXER battery storage and charging cabinets are equipped with two smoke detectors that can ensure rapid detection of a lithium-ion battery in the thermal runaway. This means that the aerosol is activated at the first hint of smoke in order to react immediately to the situation. The aerosol cools and controls the battery during a thermal runaway to prevent the spread of fire. The effectiveness has been certified by the KIWA Institute.
Fire containment for at least 90 minutes
This system from Loxxer provides 90 minutes of fire protection and can ensure that the fire remains confined to the interior of the cabinet.
Advanced technology certified by the KIWA Institute according to the K21054 standard
To test the effectiveness of the cabinets with the aerosol, extensive KIWA tests were carried out with lithium-ion batteries in the Thermal Runaway. These tests show that the systems can keep the battery in check for at least 90 minutes and ensure that the remaining batteries in the cabinet are protected.
How does the extinguishing agent in the AF-X unit work?

By absorbing the energy required for the chemical reaction, a cooling effect is created. - Chemical reaction
The unstable radicals (OH) react faster with potassium (K) than the combustion reaction and form stable potassium hydroxide (KOH). Explanation: During this reaction, certain chemicals in the aerosol, such as potassium (K), react with the fire source. This prevents burning materials from continuing to feed the reaction that sustains the fire. This effectively extinguishes or temporarily suppresses the fire.

Optional notification software is available that can send notifications by SMS and email. System monitoring can also be carried out via the MyLoxxer portal, so that you are always informed about the status of your lockers.
Certified fire alarm system
The certified fire detection system (EN12094) ensures proper integration with your existing fire alarm control panel, which is essential for reliable fire detection and response.

Active ventilation prevents heat build-up in the cabinet
The active ventilation system (or forced ventilation) ensures that heat build-up in the cabinet is kept within reasonable limits.

Other features include hinged cabinet doors, adjustable support feet for aligning the cabinet and the active ventilation systems for heat dissipation. The cabinets can be driven under from all sides.
Self-locking doors with locks and multi-point locking system
The enclosure has two self-closing doors with door contacts. The door contacts register whether a door has been open for longer than five minutes. If this is the case, the locker sends a message to the user via the MyLoxxer platform and an alarm signal sounds. The doors have a multi-point locking system and can be locked with a key.

In the event of smoke detection, the charging cabinet performs a series of predefined steps to minimize potential hazards:

- Interrupting the battery charging process to prevent the further accumulation of energy.
- Deactivation of active ventilation to prevent further spread of smoke or fire.
- Activation of the aerosol fire suppression system to contain the fire and ensure the safety of the surrounding area
- Overall, the charging cabinet provides a safe and reliable solution for charging and storing lithium-ion batteries for bikes and scooters, with its technical features and safety precautions minimizing potential risks.
General guidelines for battery storage
There are currently no legal regulations for the storage of lithium batteries / lithium-ion batteries. Only VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH issues general safety rules for damage prevention in its publication VdS 3103 : 2019-06 (03). It is advisable to clarify your requirements with your property insurance company in advance.
