Suitable filling material for the battery storage container

The appropriate filling material is required to use the PRIOPACK battery storage container. If you do not have any filling material, please order the variant "Incl. 3 x PRIOPACK filling material á 8 pieces". Further filling material can be found in the Accessories tab.

In buildings and storage facilities where lithium-ion batteries are stored, damaged cells can pose a high risk potential for employees and the operating and storage technology. Explosive fires in batteries ("thermal runaway") are difficult to control. The PRIOPACK storage container for the safe storage of lithium-ion batteries is very suitable for storing these battery systems.

Please note that this system is not a dangerous goods packaging for the transportation of defective cells as defined by SV 376 of the ADR.

Size, structure and function of the storage container

The PRIOPACK storage container is available in two versions. The larger version has external dimensions of 600 x 400 x 233 mm and internal dimensions of 507 x 308 x 164 mm (height x width x depth). The weight is 15 kg. The container is gray.

The storage container is made of plastic and is lined on the inside with fire-resistant building boards and can therefore remain stable for 90 minutes in the event of a fire.

The lid can be firmly closed by means of a hinged lid and snap lock. It will not open even in the event of a fire.

The container is lined with a non-combustible thermal insulation material.

Filling material packs must be ordered separately for this container. We recommend 2 to 3 packs per box.
